Construction Safety Week 2020 – Plant and Pedestrian Safety

To mark day two of Construction Safety Week, Plant and Pedestrian Safety, our H&S Manager Thomas Hetherington carried out a toolbox talk on our production floor.

The toolbox talk consisted of the do’s and don’ts of Pedestrian Safety and was delivered to a mix of team members who work on and walk through our production floor regularly.

Do:

• Remember that you may not be visible to drivers
• Stick to designated walkways & crossings
• Wear high visibility clothing and safety equipment
• Be aware of vehicle blind spots

Don’t

• Enter restricted areas
• Walk beside moving vehicles
• Approach a moving vehicle
• Walk behind a moving vehicle
